Asian Heritage Month-CFACI
Virtual Museum of Asian Canadian Cultural Heritage (VMACCH)

Foreword by the Curator of the Asian Heritage Month Virtual Photo Exhibition, Mr. Tam Kam Chiu, Grand Master of the Photographic Society of America (GMPSA)

Welcome to the Asian Heritage Month Online Photo Exhibition featuring photographs by Members of the Chinese Canadian Photographic Society of Toronto.  The exhibition is a vibrant celebration of the diverse cultures, histories, and identities of Asian Canadians. Through the lens of the Asian Canadian photographers, many of them award-winning, this exhibition invites you on a visual journey that honors resilience, beauty, and the rich tapestry of Asian Canadian heritage.

Each photograph in this collection is more than an image—it is a story. A story of migration and memory, of tradition and transformation, of joy, struggle, and appreciation of Canada’s multiculturalism. From bustling city streets to quiet moments of reflection, vibrant Asian Festivals to remote landscapes in Asia, these works capture the essence of what it means to be Asian Canadian in a global context, offering glimpses into lives shaped by both ancestral roots in Asia and contemporary realities in Canada.

This exhibition is not only a tribute to the past but also a celebration of the present and a hopeful vision for the future. It is a reminder that Asian Canadian heritage is not static—it evolves, breathes, and continues to inspire across generations.

We invite you to explore these powerful images, reflect on the stories they tell, and join us in honoring the richness and diversity of Asian Canadian heritage. May this exhibition spark dialogue, deepen understanding, and foster a greater appreciation for the Asian Canadian communities it represents.
