Kenneth Cheng

Born in Hong Kong, Dr. Cheng is a retired physician now residing in Canada. He started seriously in photography in the 1970s, and has devoted much of his free time in organizing and promoting international salons.

He was the President of the Photographic Salon Exhibitors Association of Hong Kong for many years in the 1980s. He is now Honourary Advisor of the Chinese Canadian Photographic Society of Toronto as well as advisor and judge of international salons of a number of photo clubs in China, Hong Kong, Macao, Europe and North America. He was Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Photographic Society of America (PSA).

A Five-Star Exhibitor in the Colour Prints and Colour Slides divisions as computed by the PSA, Dr. Cheng is a Fellow of the Photographic Society of America, a Master of the Federation of International Photographic Art, and a Fellow of Royal Photographic Society of United Kingdom, among many other honours and distinctions given him over the years.

He was among the world’s top 10 photographers for four years in the Colour Slides division at the photographic salons approved by the Photographic Society of America. He is also an Associate of the Canadian Association of Photographic Art. He believes that life can be much enriched through participation in photography.
