Kevin Samual Yee was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C. Kevin is best known for his work in theatre and as part of Quincy Jones’ short lived boyband Youth Asylum. He spent three years with the Toronto company of Mamma Mia! as Pepper, joined the Chicago cast of Wicked, and made his Broadway debut in the original New York cast of Mary Poppins. He made his professional stage debut at the age of six opposite Rudolf Nureyev in The King And I, and other credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat starring Donny Osmond, the television series Lambchops Playalong, and the Canadian premiere of the critically acclaimed play Ice: Beyond Cool. At the age of 15, he signed his first recording contract with Qwest/WB and spent three years as a band member of Youth Asylum. Along with the group, he embarked on three national tours, filmed a music video that was a top five hit on the Disney Channel and The Box, was featured prominently on magazines such as Popstar and Bop, and recorded the album, We Are Young Americans, with legendary producers David Foster and Quincy Jones. He has acted in several short films and released his solo debut album (kev was here). He is also the creator of the web series The Manhattan Boys.
